8D7N Solo Taiwan Trip [2017] - Miffy x 2% Café

I never knew Taiwan has a Miffy Café - they have a few in Japan.
BUT IN TAIWAN, and best, in TAIPEI??!
So when I heard about it, doh, I went to there without a second doubt!

.............................

Miffy x 2% Café
235, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Zhonghe District, Section 3, Zhongshan Rd
122號環球購物中心

Nearest MRT: Fuzhong/Banqiao Station
Bus: 307
Operating Hours: 1100 - 2200

.............................

Naturally, first photo of the post would be #OOTD lol!
AND YES, I had a haircut + dye in Taipei! Feeling like a local already LOLOL!

Okay, so the stupid thing about Google maps was that they showed me that I could only transfer at Fuzhong station and take the bus 307 from there. But Banqiao station was actually a nearer station to take the bus from (just outside the station). So if you're fluent in Mandarin, you can try alighting at Banqiao to take bus 307, else, just follow my path LOL.

You should see this when you exit the station, so cross this road and cross over to the right.
Basically, diagonally.

You should end up at this bus stop

It's around a 10 mins ride away. And you should alight at "Banqiao Supervision Station" (監理站[新巴士])
When you look across, you'd be able to see this shopping mall called "Global Mall" and that's where the café is located in!

So once you enter the mall, you'd see a MIFFY shop. But that's not the café.
The café is located on the second level.
(if I didn't remember wrongly, either 2nd or 3rd lol)

But it's pretty easy to spot!

My gosh, just look at that cute interior!!

AND THIS WAS MY TABLE LOL

Ordered tea cause I didn't want get sweet drinks.
But the best part about getting tea in Taiwan (in general) is that you can refill them as many times as you want to!! Even in Starbucks!! Without any extra charge!! That's like so damn awesome?!!

Oh, the set that I ordered comes with a free "milk pudding" or whatever that is.
And I'm really glad this came free because I wouldn't have ordered this. And gosh,
THIS TASTED SO DAMN NICE.

My pasta - it didn't taste really nice to me cause there was onions lol.
(P.S. I think I ordered the kids meal cause I was too full from snacks on the streets lol)

So here's me with my food
(Just wanted to post this picture cause I looked nice in it!)

Probably because it was a weekday afternoon, too, and because this location isn't really at the central of Taipei or where tourists would usually shop at, there wasn't really any crowd in the whole mall in fact.

So here's a shot with Miffy!

8D7N Solo Taiwan Trip [2017] - Café & Cats [小貓花園]

No idea when it started becoming a habit, but I've made it a point to visit at least 1 cat café from each country!
So yes, as you can guess, this is a cat café from Taiwan - Taipei.

.............................

Café & Cats
(小貓花園)
No. 129, Fuhua Rd, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111
台北市士林區福華路129號1樓 Taipei, Taiwan

Nearest MRT: Zhishan Station
Operating Hours: 1200 - 2200

.............................

This café is pretty easy to spot.
Take the right exit (once you tap out) and you'll be able to see the café front!!

See the arrow in red, that's it!

Cute introduction of the residents (in Mandarin though)

It isn't really a very big place but it felt cosy yet comfortable.
Probably also due to the fact that it was a weekday afternoon where there wouldn't be much crowd!

And yes, they got a "seat" for cats at every table!
Was an interesting and cute idea!

Oh, and SURPRISE.
There're resident dogs in there too! Two of them, really cute and affectionate!!
One of them came over to lick my hand and play with me once I settled down at my seat.
It was really a memorable moment (though the picture was blur) cause it was my first day alone in TPE and I wasn't really in the best of mood, so when this cutie came over, I literally teared up and felt so much better after petting him!! It's as if there was a split connection.
OK TOO MUCH, moving on.

My lunch at the café.
Some sweet potato baked rice or something along that line.

It tasted good. Not fantastic, but good.

So now, to my favourite part of the post:

CAT PHOTOS

This white ball of fur jumped onto the table and guess what he did next

DRANK LICKED MY GLASS OF WATER LOL.

Off focused but this moment was really a must-capture-moment!!

As you can see, one cat seat per table LOL!

Everyone's favourite!!

Yes, this was everyone's favourite!
He's so fat and fluffy and literally a ball of cute fur lol.

Guess what he had written on his collar?
"我會咬"
(I will bite)

LOL! I literally laughed out loud when i read it.
The owners of the shop must be really cute people to have thought of this hahahaha.

Lastly, ending off the post with a selfie with my table's kitty!

8D7N Solo Taiwan Trip [2017] - OIA Café [Oia伊亞藝術咖啡館]

I guess it's pretty hard to know what's so special about this café based on the café's name, but BEHOLD..cause this is probably one of the most "in" or "popular" cafés that females would definitely want to visit!!

WHY?

Cause there are
ALPACAS
aka. 草泥馬 (sounds like some vulgar hokkien term lol)

For those of you who don't already know what alpacas are, I bet you'd have seen them before as a plush, those that most girls go crazy over. I've pasted a photo below for your reference LOL.

Yes, you didn't read it wrongly.
It's an alpaca café, right in Taipei!!

I repeat,
AN ALPACA CAFÉ IN TAIPEI

.............................

OIA Café
(伊亞藝術咖啡館)
252, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Sanzhi District
後厝里北勢子12-1號

Nearest MRT: Danshui Station
Bus: 860; 863; 865
Operating Hours: 1100 - 2000

.............................

So before anything else starts, an obligatory #OOTD shot of the day lol.

Yes, you need to take a bus in from Danshui station
So once you exit Danshui station, just find the bus interchange on the right side and not follow stupid Google map that leads you to some unknown place - that made me waste close to half an hour walking to and fro trying to find the bus!!

So this is what the bus interchange look like, it's pretty easy to spot.

You should alight at the station called "Hou Cuo" (後厝) which would be a few minutes walk away from the café.

But alas, smart me on my earphones and surfing the net on the bus, I alighted 3 stops later LOL
It was a good thing, though. I got to see really pretty sceneries and the walk back was cool and quiet - I just sung aloud, enjoyed the stroll and took some pretty photos along the way.
(No doubt it'll be pretty dangerous if you're alone there at night)

AND FINALLY AFTER CLOSE TO HALF AN HOUR OF STROLL,
I arrived at OIA Café! :)

It should look like this from the outside
(And if you saw this from your bus window, you know you just missed your stop LOL)

It was a pretty cosy (a little squeezy) kind of environment.
And no, there wasn't any weird smells because of the animals.

So basically, there'd only be 1-2 alpacas released into the café where they'd roam around casually
(or wherever the food is, lol)
I guess it's to prevent overcrowding too.

But fret not, cause there's an outdoor area which is kind of like their "stable" where there'll be more alpacas and little goats for you to feed and take pictures of.

Yes, that naughty goat was trying to lick that other goat's ass LOL!!

Didn't try their main course cause I had a heavy lunch so just ordered some desserts.
There is a minimum spending per pax though, but I forgotten how much it is. One dessert/main course should be able to cover that cover charge!

And lastly, to end off the post,

A photo of me trying to feed an alpaca!

I was actually kind of terrified by it because it would just charge to you once you're holding their food!
They're not really aggressive in the way that they'd hurt you but they walk pretty fast and it's a little scary cause it's not really a small pet kind of animal hahaha.

Nonetheless, I'd totally recommend this café for the experience to touch and feed and alpaca.
And also to escape the crowd in Taipei.

Till the next post, ADIOS!
