McDonald's National Breakfast Day 2014!

Sponsored Advertorial

SUP GUYS.

As mentioned in my Daily Vlog yesterday,
I went to McDonald's for their event and guess what is it about? ;)
(The title gave me away T__T)

MCDONALD'S NATIONAL BREAKFAST DAY IS BACK!

And sorry for the wrong info on my vlog,

McD will be giving out 1000 McMuffins PER OUTLET,
And there'll be 122 outlets in Singapore that'll be participating in these outlets!

17 MARCH 2014

So mark the date on your calendar and head down to any McD to get your free breakfast! :)

Have you ever felt as lazy as me to wake up early for McD breakfasts?
Despite the strong temptations of the hotcakes and bacons?

In collaboration with National Breakfast Day,
McD is extending their breakfast menu to 6pm!!

SO, YOU CAN HAVE BREAKFAST FOR LUNCH/DINNER!
*inserts big smiley icon*

Only the following outlets WILL NOT be participating:
KK Hospital, Yew Tee Main & Kiosk, Tampines Interchange Kiosk, Lucky Chinatown, Clementi Avenue 3, Changi Airport T2 Transit, and Singapore Science Centre.
(All other lunch menu will fully resume after 6pm but you can still order French Fries, McSpicy®, McNuggets®, McChicken®, McWings®, Nacho Cheese/Tangy Filet-O- Fish®, Apple Slices and desserts during the day!)

Which was what I did on Friday night!
HOTCAKES FOR DINNER, HELL YEAH!

And this is usually how I eat my hotcakes meal!

1. Leave those that I'm not eating first on the yellow plate

2. Put the one I want to eat now, on the white plate

3. Stack the white plate over the yellow plate

Reason being, this can help to slightly retain the heat of the hotcakes!
Cause most McD are air conditioned and the hotcakes tend to cool quite easily, and butter spreads really horribly on cooled hotcakes.
So yeah, I figured this method out and I guess no one/rare few bunch of people does this!

Happy me eating my fav. breakfast in McD for dinner!!

AND, WHAT'S MORE?

Whilst we were eating, they introduced to us something really cool and innovative!!

 MCDONALD'S SURPRISE ALARM APP

The whole app came about from a really sweet aim,
TO WAKE UP WITH A SMILE :)

Because most people (esp me) wake up really grumpy.
And this app aims to bring a smile to you guys early in the morning!

So how does it work?

So this is basically a rendition to the normal alarm app on your phone.
Just that, it's more fun and you get surprises every morning when you wake up!
You're gonna love it!

1. DOWNLOAD THE APP FROM PLAYSTORE (Andriod) or APP STORE (Apple)
(App will only be available in the stores on the 17th March 2014)

2. Click on the app and get started!

3. Log in to your FB/Create an account! (Important)
To claim the surprises, you'd need to be logged into your account!

4. Set your alarm, then head to bed!
Really love how they customize the back drop and make it "Singapore-ish"!

5. WAKE UP TO A SURPRISE
Every morning when you wake up using this app, you'll get a surprise!
You'll get yourself either food/drink coupons or music/video downloads!! Free!!
Like come on, who doesn't love free things :)

6. Redeem your surprise
Important: Only press REDEEM now when you're at the counter
Because if you click on it, the 2mins will start counting down and there's no way back!
And after which, the coupon will be deem redeemed.

So remember to download this app on the 17th March 2014!!
And redeem your surprise on the 18th March onwards!
(Limited to 1 surprise per day)

A good day starts with a good breakfast!
What are you waiting for? :)

BAHLABAHBAPBAP,
I'M LOVIN' IT!

TW Trip [2013] - Barbie Cafe

Continuing the Taipei Café Tour entries,

Next up is one of the most popular café discussed between
girls and adults that has young daughters!

Let me give you a hint.

IT HAS A SUPER PINKISH INTERIOR SETTING!

Did you guess it right?

Barbie Café
台北市大安區忠孝東路四段128號2樓, Taipei, Taiwan 106
2F, No.128 Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan
Tel: +886 2 2752 8311 ; Opening Hours: 1130 - 2200

Nearest Metro: Zhongxiao Dunhua Station

The Barbie Café was pretty easy to spot.
It was WAY TO PINK to miss it.

What you see once you climbed the Barbie stairs up!

I would say this was one of the worst customer service provided cafe.
When we came up, not even a soul came to open the door/greet us/attend to us.

We had to walk in and ask for a seat.

But anyway, more pictures on the café before I continue ranting!

The café was pretty much "barbie-fied" by the pinkness in it.
But, besides it being really pink and having tons of barbie selfies hung on the wall,
I really don't feel that it brings out the barbie feel.

Down to the menu.

The menu had quite limited choice of food/desserts.
But the cute thing about them is that,
They actually include every dish's calories intake!

P.S. You have to order a min. of NT300/pax worth of food/drink
Which was est SGD12+/pax.

Ok, here's a selfie of me trying hard to camwhore inside the café
without getting my face all red due to the lighting!

AND HERE COMES THE FOOD

Cappuccino
Didn't get to taste this cause my mum ordered it and I don't take coffee.

Macrons
This was pretty sweet, but still barely acceptable.
The macrons' filling were more of jam/spread instead of cream tho.

I'VE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS.
It should be some milkshake or something.

BUT THIS TASTED SO HORRIBLE.

It was the WORST thing I had in my 8D7N Taiwan Trip.
I had a sip and I nearly puked, it was crazily sweetened and it tasted like
x89127981278947 TONS sugar + milk/water.

Classic Barbie Toast
This was pretty alright, considerably one of the better one of all in this café.
But it was filled with so much icing cream, it spoilt the taste of it.

Besides that, it's just typical ice cream with some fruits and cheap made
chocolates with designs on a "Barbie logo" toasted toast.

The serving for this was pretty big tho.

Some other cakes they have!

And this cute little "barbie handbag" couch near the entrance.

So this pretty much sum up my visit for the Barbie Café.
As you have read, you could tell I'm least satisfied with this café.

NM.com Rating

Location: 8/10
Atmostphere: 6/10
Price: 3/10
Food Quality: 3/10
Customer Service: 3/10

Overall Rating: 4.6/10

It's definitely a place I wouldn't spare a second visit for.
It was a good experience of the atmosphere, but for everything else, no.

Stay tuned to more of my Taipei Café Tour updates!!

AND GOOD NEWS, I'll be flying back in 3 weeks time!
SUPER HAPPY AND EXCITEDDDDDD.

Till then, Stay Hungry :)

Recent Addiction : I AM SINGER 2

Hello humans!

Not sure if you guys are into singing variety too but there's this recent singing compt going on that got me really addicted and staying tuned to every Friday night!

This program actually invites
EXISTING SINGERS
to compete with each other on stage.

I got interested at first cause Gary Chaw (曹格) joined it!

And after watching it, I FOUND NEW GEM.
Literally, GEM. Gem Tang.

And she's been my fav since the first episode!!
(I continued on to stalk her all around lolol!!)

This was her first performance.
AND I WAS LITERALLY TAKEN ABACK, DUMBFOUNDED.

It was too perfect.
What's more is, this song was written by her. Both lyrics and melody!

And it just gets better in the next few episodes!!
Here's one of my favorite

TOO. PERFECT.
Visual, emotions, pitching, control of vocals, phrasing.

So after stalking her for her music and etc,
I realized......she's really cute! *dokidoki*

Check this out!

Like seriously, which artistes nowadays, with such good looks and talents,
ARE WILLING TO PUT DOWN THEIR GLAM SIDE.

She appears really sincere and true to the audiences and fans (and me).
Which made it a super plus point!

So, brief background of her.
She's THE SAME AGE as me, yet she's well known in Hongkong, released number of albums and have had a few concerts already!!
(What on earth was I doing for the past 23 years of my life in music!)

And a bit on the KPO side..

GEM and YOGA actually dated before.
OHMYGOD!

Two musically talented people.

Too perfect!
But according to "news", they appeared to have "broken up" already for now as Yoga's going to army and further his studies, taking a break off media industry. And their Weibo (China's Twitter) mentioned things like "we have our own paths in life" blablablah.

But to be honest,
I'm not buying this shit.

I think it's all for the show to public only.

OK, I sound super fangirl now.

But she's officially added on my idol list as from now on.
I really admire and envy her.

She's all I ever wanted to be in life.
Writing songs, singing them, letting the world hear her song.
Showing more emotions than just vocal skills on stage, being real despite the complicated environment.
That aura, it's so influential and contagious.

If you're wondering where to watch it live/latest updates,
http://zongyi.letv.com/wsgs2/zq/

The show runs Every Friday 8pm live.
And the recaps will usually be up at night or the next morning (Sat).

Do watch and share with me your fav!! :)
(Or fangirl/boy over GEM with me, heh)

Oh and before I go,

Cover of GEM's 泡沫!

Must explain for myself that this cover wasn't as good cause:

1. The start was too low, not my usual vocal ranged songs
2. I NG like more than 30 times, especially the parts where it got super emotional.
JUST BECAUSE OF THE LYRICS. Damn. And that made my voice really sore and tired towards the back :/
3. I just learnt this song 2 days ago before I recorded the cover lol!

But anyway,
BYE

#Sidenote: I really wish I could accomplish something someday.

Cineleisure's Next Online Sensation 3

SO YES, after a long hiatus on my blog,
(And much psycho-ing skills from friends too)
I decided to make a come back by joining CNOS again this year!

Also, along with this video,
Something I'd recommend most about Cineleisure.

So.....................
What I'll recommend in Cineleisure?

.
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.

Main reason being:
YOU CAN SPEND YOUR WHOLE DAY THERE!

Let me draft up my typical list of fun things to do:

And all these can be done, at a single venue, E2MAX.

AND THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN DANCE AND LOSE SOME FATS
OR SING OFF PITCHED
Without getting judged.

You can rent rooms to play console games or watch movies at E2MAX.
Wii games with dances are the best to play!
It's private and no one will watch and laugh at you except you and your friends!

And when you're hungry, just pop by the Movie Snack counter to grab some filling finger food!

And yes,
you can literally snug your whole entire day here at E2MAX!

So, that's all for my entry post.
*crossed fingers I'll get through*
