8D7N Solo Taiwan Trip [2017] - OIA Café [Oia伊亞藝術咖啡館]

I guess it's pretty hard to know what's so special about this café based on the café's name, but BEHOLD..cause this is probably one of the most "in" or "popular" cafés that females would definitely want to visit!!

WHY?

Cause there are
ALPACAS
aka. 草泥馬 (sounds like some vulgar hokkien term lol)

For those of you who don't already know what alpacas are, I bet you'd have seen them before as a plush, those that most girls go crazy over. I've pasted a photo below for your reference LOL.

Yes, you didn't read it wrongly.
It's an alpaca café, right in Taipei!!

I repeat,
AN ALPACA CAFÉ IN TAIPEI

OIA Café
(伊亞藝術咖啡館)
252, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Sanzhi District
後厝里北勢子12-1號

Nearest MRT: Danshui Station
Bus: 860; 863; 865
Operating Hours: 1100 - 2000

.............................

So before anything else starts, an obligatory #OOTD shot of the day lol.

Yes, you need to take a bus in from Danshui station
So once you exit Danshui station, just find the bus interchange on the right side and not follow stupid Google map that leads you to some unknown place - that made me waste close to half an hour walking to and fro trying to find the bus!!

So this is what the bus interchange look like, it's pretty easy to spot.

You should alight at the station called "Hou Cuo" (後厝) which would be a few minutes walk away from the café.

But alas, smart me on my earphones and surfing the net on the bus, I alighted 3 stops later LOL
It was a good thing, though. I got to see really pretty sceneries and the walk back was cool and quiet - I just sung aloud, enjoyed the stroll and took some pretty photos along the way.
(No doubt it'll be pretty dangerous if you're alone there at night)

AND FINALLY AFTER CLOSE TO HALF AN HOUR OF STROLL,
I arrived at OIA Café! :)

It should look like this from the outside
(And if you saw this from your bus window, you know you just missed your stop LOL)

It was a pretty cosy (a little squeezy) kind of environment.
And no, there wasn't any weird smells because of the animals.

So basically, there'd only be 1-2 alpacas released into the café where they'd roam around casually
(or wherever the food is, lol)
I guess it's to prevent overcrowding too.

But fret not, cause there's an outdoor area which is kind of like their "stable" where there'll be more alpacas and little goats for you to feed and take pictures of.

Yes, that naughty goat was trying to lick that other goat's ass LOL!!

Didn't try their main course cause I had a heavy lunch so just ordered some desserts.
There is a minimum spending per pax though, but I forgotten how much it is. One dessert/main course should be able to cover that cover charge!

And lastly, to end off the post,

A photo of me trying to feed an alpaca!

I was actually kind of terrified by it because it would just charge to you once you're holding their food!
They're not really aggressive in the way that they'd hurt you but they walk pretty fast and it's a little scary cause it's not really a small pet kind of animal hahaha.

Nonetheless, I'd totally recommend this café for the experience to touch and feed and alpaca.
And also to escape the crowd in Taipei.

Till the next post, ADIOS!
