4D3N Thailand Trip [2018] Pooltime Café - Get up close with RACCOONS!

If you're on my IG, you'd have seen me posting about this Café I went to in Bangkok
(And if you're not, click to follow my IG now!!! I update IGStories almost everyday)

It was one of the most memorable café
(& probably the highlight of my Thailand trip) because

1. I got to see a raccoon upclose
2. I got attacked by one of it LOL

But don't worry, it doesn't happen that often and other than that, they're really cute creatures actually.

So hereby introducing..

Nearest MTR :  Khlong Tan
Operating Hours :  1200 - 2000
Closed Dates : Monday

The café was a 2 storey shophouse, well-decorated with a "poolside" theme
(as you can see from the following images)

What's best about this café, that separates it from the others, was that
THE FOOD ACTUALLY TASTED AS GOOD AS IT LOOKED

I've been to way too many cafés during my yearly BKK trips (of which I don't really post unless I think it's worthy of my time to post) and this café had one of the best tasting "themed café" food around.

When this was served, I was thinking to myself - I'm probably not going to like it.
BUT, the first bite was unforgettable! The "blue" bun was well pan-fried to leave a slight crisp, with the mixture of the patty, bacon, veg, and sauce, it was really good!

I wouldn't say that it tasted heavenly but it was definitely delectable - considering it coming from a themed café.

This was expectably sweet but really amazing as well
Love how they put fruit loops with the bubblegum flavoured drink

Their pasta was a tad bit spicy for me but it had substance.
I'm pretty particular for pastas cause I really HATE soft and overcooked pastas.
But this was made just nice that it tasted good. Not perfect, but good enough.

And here comes the best part of this café

INTERACT UPCLOSE WITH RACCOONS!

Do note that raccoon interaction timing is only from 1400H-1800H

They move really fast so it was hard to snap a decent shot of them around the room,
unless they stop to zone out or are really focused on something.

There's the 3 of them,
Bob, A-Po, Poon

But my photos consist of only 1 - I forgot if it was Bob or Poon.

1 was having PMS, hiding away in enclosed areas within the room.
1 had PMS and attacked me (A thinks that maybe he thought I was a tree or smth) and was removed from the room
Leaving only 1 of them here to play around with us!

If you're lucky enough, the staffs would teach you how to carry them and how they liked to be pet!
I didn't, though, had a little phobia after the incident hahahaha!

(Though they're really cute)

Ending this post with my favourite photo,

Yesyesyesyesyes, I know I've been lazy in updating this space of mine.
I'm trying my best to strike a balance between work, music, stream, social life, friends, family.
I'll do my best to update more on interesting places I've been to on this space!

Was thinking of doing a vlog instead when I travel - but I've never once successfully completed it LOL

OK TILL THE NEXT POST,
BYE.

9D8N Thailand Trip [Bangkok] - Un Fashion Café [2015] Day VII

Fell in love with this café, so much so that it deserves a post on it's own!!

Ekkamai Soi 10, Sukhumvit 63, Bangkok 10110, Thailand
(Nearest BTS: Ekkamai BTS)
Operating Hours: 1200 - 2100

It's about a 5-10 minutes walk from the BTS station!

Take the exit to Major Cineplex and head all the way down the street
(It's a straight walk down around 7 streets)

You should be on the right track if you see this

After a 10 minutes walk, we finally reached!
It's a separate building and it looked so distinct it's impossible to miss out.

I can't describe how fascinating the café was.
It was like no other cafés I've been to!

The choice of food was pretty limited - pastries and coffee/tea/fruit/chocolate drinks but as the saying goes, Quality > Quantity, right?

Up to the second level!

We ordered blueberry cheesecake and I forgot the names of the drinks lol.
Mine was pretty refreshening but Mun's drink, that has ginger in it, tasted..weird hahahaha!

They even provide complimentary water!

This café was really chill, it felt like a much better version of Starbucks where you could just read your books or chill here with your friends without having much noise disruption. The café's atmosphere was superb!
Mun and I hung out there for around an hour or two before heading off for our dinner!
(And no one ever came to chase us off, WHY CAN'T SG HAVE SUCH CAFES)

Nice environment + Nice atmosphere = Nice Selfies HAHAHA

9D8N Thailand Trip [Bangkok] - Caturday Cat Café [2015] Day VIII

So, in the midst of completing my school assignments,
I've decided to "give myself a break" and took time out to edit my holiday photos!

I've dragged this trip photos for around..2 months?
But it seem to be SO long because it's classified under "last year". Spent 9D8N in Thailand, exploring new places like Hua Hin and Pattaya (these places are so lovely). Will be blogging more about them in the posts to come once I finished processing the photos, and I swear you guys would love the place too when you see the pictures!!

Anyway, I'll literally just forward this trip to Day 8 where Mun and I visited a cat cafe in BKK!

CATURDAY CAT CAFÉ
10400, 115 Phayathai Rd, Thanon Phetchaburi,
Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand
(Nearest BTS: Ratchathewi)

Okay, right. Back to the café.
I know the address sounds complex but it was literally a 5 minute stroll from Ratchathewi BTS station!
Just take the stairs down to "Hungry Nerds" and while facing Hungry Nerds, turn to your right and walk all the way till you see this sign in the picture below! This is where you'd need to turn left and walk into the alley that'll lead you to the cat cafe :)

Walk along the alley till you see this really cute signboard.
It's pretty easy to spot!

THE ENTRANCE DECO IS SO CUTE
and in fact the whole of the café's interior!!

Shall let the pictures do the talking from here onwards

Drinking stations for the cats, too cute!!

Cats be like "Did you catch that movie on TV yesterday night?" lol.
Okay, just being lame.

Now comes the stars, the cats in the café!
(Only captured a few of my favourite/distinct ones)

THIS GINGER MUNCHKIN IS MY FAVOURITE!
I was this close to trying to kidnap and smuggle it back, gosh.

Just look at that short legs! LOL

Here comes food!
We didn't order much because it was just-after-lunch and before-dinner timing,
we figured that finger food would be better.

If my memory isn't failing me,
this should be Mozzarella Cheese Sticks.

This was Spring Roll filled with CHEESE and ham

As usual, anything with cheese tastes awesomely great.
We even had a model to post with our food, lol!
(No, we didn't catch it up to pose with it. It jumped onto our table.)

 Back to the cats -

LOOK AT THAT AMOUNT OF CUTENESS, I CANNOT TAKE IT.

Playing with my favourite munchkin!
Look at those eyes. Just shut up and take my money, take anything you want lol!

Lastly, the necessary forced-kitty-selfies LOL

I swear it liked me too, when I was posing for a photo on Mun's camera, it licked me! :3
Too bad that shot was blurry (and I didn't transfer it over to my com)

Yes, it is by far (I think) the only 10/10 café I've rated.
The food was really nice comparatively to the previous cat café I've been to.

If you'd need to decide between the both, I'd say that Purr Cat Café is bigger and less crowded comparatively to Caturday but Caturday is really convenient and they captured my heart with their ginger munchkin. Food tastes better there too! Customer service wise, both cafés had tiptop services!! So it ultimately depends on your itinerary.

Ending this post with a picture of my favourite kitty!
