The Boxing Crab - Seafood Restaurant

Hellooooooooo people!

Do you love to eat seafood? Or love to eat crabs & lobsters like me??

I've got a new hangout to introduce you guys!!

The Boxing Crab is located at Sentosa (Adjacent to The Underwater World)!!

Let me do a little HOW-TO-GO directory!

1. Take the MRT to Harbour Front MRT

2. Go to the top level of Vivocity Mall and take the express monorail into Sentosa

3. Alight at Beach Station

4. Take a shuttle bus towards Siloso Beach and alight at the Underwater World

5. Walk in! (Ask around if you've no idea where is it)

It's my first time there and I really enjoyed my dining experience there!

The Boxing Crab is positioned NEXT TO SEA.

It makes the dining experience really different. Eating SEAfood, next to the SEA.

The interior is really pretty right!!

Classy yet relaxing~

And besides seafood, they sell Pastry & Cakes too!

There's also a corner that sells alcohol, almost all kind of alcohol!!

Nice place to chill out for a short drink too :)

Maybeline, William & I went out to the open area seats to take pictures of nice sceneries & enjoy the sea breeze while waiting for the food to arrive!

I really can't imagine how it would be if we came in the night.

Imagine the sea breeze + dim sky + seafood + light alcohol.

Omg.

Maybe I should try that one day!!

Ordered this Super Smoothie (SGD7)

It's surprisingly refreshing & addictive!!

I mean, most smoothie are rather thick and you'll still feel thirsty/you had enough after a glass or so.

But for this smoothie, it was really refreshing and guess what, I finished it at my 3rd dish! lol.

Ok, and here comes the food!!

Steamed Bamboo Clam w/ Minced Garlic

As you guys might have known, I don't eat Garlic. At all.

But I swear when this dish came, it smelt SO TEMPTING I tried it with the garlic.

And it turned out really good.

So good that after I finished the noodles, I ate the garlic itself.

Charcoal Grilled Snapper (SGD28)

Not a fan of fish (justsoyouknow)

This fish had a sweet + smoked taste.

We didn't squeeze the lime, but I believe it'll taste nicer with lime!

It came with 3 sauces to go along, and one of which's the restaurants' specially made sauce (right)!

Otah Otah Cigar (SGD12)

Omg, I really love this dish too!

(Actually I love almost all the dish there.)

The skin is like crispy and when you bite into the soft & hot otah..omggggg.

The otah's spiciness is rather acceptable (taking into consideration I don't eat spice).

Braised Claypot Crab w/ Superior Broth & Pumpkin

THIS. IS. MY. FAV. DISH.

And I can confidently say that this is probably one of the best crab broth I ever ate.

Unlike other seafood restaurants selling Chilli; Black Pepper; Butter; Crabs,

The Boxing Crab have a whole new wide variety of crabs to choose from!

And most of which I've never ate/heard before in my life.

It's really interesting!!

And when I heard pumpkin, I was thinking..This crab must be sweet, thick, creamy kind of feeling.

But no. It was mild salty, with a little sweetness in it.

Tasted a little like salted egg, but nope. It was pumpkin.

It's really amazing how they could invent such a heavenly dish!!

(DEFINITELY MUST TRY)

OH. And you know what.

They also provided really cute utensils for us to use!!

SO CUTE RIGHT.

And unique.

Tbh, I've never seen such a scissors before. So cool!

& gloves for those with manicures on, so meticulous right~!!

Made me feel like a doctor that's gonna operate on the crab, wahahahahahahha.

Also, this "CRABING IN PROCESS" napkin to tie around your neck!

(Just like the restaurant I went in Boston~!!)

Ready to tuck in!!

I super super super love the pumpkin broth!

It's like you can eat the whole of it and still want more!!

Caramelized Spices w/ Curry Leaf Crab

This crab had a heavier taste. More of pepperish, with a little sweetness and saltiness in it.

But I prefer the pumpkin one more!!

After you had the best, you have no others in your eyes!

Look at the sumptuous & tender crab meat, woooooooo!

Fried Buns

Their fried buns were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside!

Dip it in the pumpkin broth, poof! Sweeeeeeeet match.

Seafood Mee Goreng (SGD15-32)

Didn't have much of this cause it had prawn (allergic).

Gratin Lobster w/ Cheese Alfredo & Lemon Grass Beurre Blanc

Wow, really long name. Hahahaha.

If you're a cheese lover (like me), you'll love this!

It ain't the creamy cheesy kind of dish, but it's cheesy enough to gratify your tastebuds!

AND DESSERTS TIME.

Crepe w/ Caramelized Apple (SGD10.90)

Never tried a crepe before, so yup! First time having it and it was lovely.

The crepe wasn't too thick and it was crispy (until the ice cream started to melt)!

Love the caramelized apples <3 div="div" nbsp="nbsp">

Tropic Pineapple Sorbet (SGD11.90)

William ordered this!! 

It was really refreshing, sweet w/ a little sour in it.

And it was presented in a really cute & innovative way!

In a pineapple! Literally.

Hahahahaha.

Catanlana Cream with Caramelized Sugar (SGD8.90)

After a few failed attempts, lol!

We enjoyed the food & experience at The Boxing Crab!!
